We know having children comes with every emotion, and can feel like navigating through unchartered waters. Whether it's your first time or you're a seasoned pro, each birth and child brings its own challenges - as well as unimaginable joys. Three Strands Family Center offers you the tools and resources to get through these seasons: from family planning and pregnancy, through birth and postpartum healing, into those unknowns of infancy days, wild toddler years, and all the way to early childhood.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 says, “a cord of three strands is not easily broken”. Let us come alongside you, as your community and your safe space, to be that third strand of support, reinforcing your capability as parents, and strengthening your family. We’re all in this together; don’t go it alone!

"The family center gave me a new confidence in my ability to mother that I didn’t know existed."
In 2021, I was pregnant with my first child in a new town where I didn’t have many other parent friends to walk alongside me in that season. It was new and fresh, and I didn’t know what to expect for our new family. Then I found a family center nearby and it changed everything: the way I felt about being pregnant, preparing for birth, and stepping into motherhood. That family center gave me a new confidence in my ability to mother that I didn’t know existed.

Fast forward, and we moved across the country to Columbia, Tennessee where I became pregnant again two years later. Only this time there were women around me who were all walking through the exact same motherhood season I was. It was a completely different experience, but yet one thing was apparent: there was nowhere for moms (and dads) to turn for support, resources and encouragement other than each other.
Three Strands Family Center is born out of this need for a place to find support throughout your parenting journey. Whether you’re in a season of family planning, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, or early childhood, we offer classes and resources to make sure you are prepared emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually to step into parenthood.​
